Anti Aging

We would all like to turn back the time clock. But unless you're willing to spend your life covered in bubble-wrap, manage to invent a time machine or some how find the 'fountain of youth' the truth of the matter is we can never go back to how we looked when we were twenty. However the outlook is not all bleak. There are things we can do to slow down the aging process, and work on your natural beauty care, instead of just purely focusing on Anti Aging.

Just to be clear, when we're talking about Anti Aging we are talking about the slowing down of the visual aging of the skin, and not increasing your life span so you can live until your one hundred and eight years old. Although who knows if you do everything right you may get lucky.

A few things to consider before going any further

  • We all strive to be the best version of ourself as we can be, but at the end of the day it is important to remember if your not healthy and happy on the inside, your not going to look that way on the outside no matter how much you spend on Anti aging creams and lotions.
  • Think about why you are searching this site and looking for Anti Aging tips, and make sure you are attempting to improve yourself for yourself and not trying to please somebody else.
  • Lastly, be realistic in your expectations. There is no point going out and spending hundreds of dollars on creams and cleaners to try and look like a teenager again, because unfortunately that isn't going to happen, and really would you want it to? Think back to how you wore your hair and dressed back then!

Why the skin ages

Our skin acts as a barrier to keep out harmful things like bacterial and diseases, (and keeps all the important stuff it). As the top cells die, new cell are replaced underneath to replace them. As we get older the rate of new cell reproduction slows and the collagen and elastin produced in the cells lessens. This combined with less blood flow and moisture, as well as damage to the skin cells caused by sun damage, pollution, and hormonal changes, just to name a few all contribute to the skin wrinkling and sagging.

Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot we can do to reverse these effects, but the outlook is not completely hopeless. In the next few pages we outline some of the things you can do to help the Anti Aging process and prevent any further damage.
