Anti Wrinkle Creams

For the moment the jury is out when it comes to Anti Wrinkle Creams. Whiles some people swear by them, others call them mere money making scheme that do more harm than good.

Anti Wrinkle Creams are mainly moisturizer based products that make the promise of reducing fine lines and wrinkles to make its consumer look younger. However recent studies have found that using any type of cream, not just Anti Wrinkle Creams have a positive effect, so it is worth considering if you really want to fork out the money.

Remember prevention is the best method of action, but if you're still keen to try some Anti Wrinkle Creams, be sure to shop around and do dome testing, or talk to a dermatologist, to find the best products suited for you.

Unfortunately to find some good Anti Wrinkle Creams, it may mean going for the more expensive brands. Creams and lotions are often packed full of chemicals, so be carefully in going for the cheaper brands, chemicals are something you really don't want to compromise, especially when using them on your face. Also watch out for any products with high levels of mineral oil and water, which are normally listed as Liquidium Pariffinium and Aqua respectfully. The mineral oil will act as a moisturizer but that is about as far as it will go.

There are 3 ingredients you should generally look for when selecting an anti-aging cream.

  • Retinoic Acid or Tretinoin- Shown to help rejuvenate the skin, it encourages new skin cell growth. Unfortunately, products containing this are generally only available by prescription, but if you're really keen on an Anti Wrinkle Cream this might be worth considering.
  • AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)- groups of compounds from sugar cane, milk, various fruits and grape wine, help to get rid of the dead skin cells, used together with an exfotiant and moisturizers have had good results in helping to bring out less damaged skin, refining the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes
  • Sunscreen - not only a great antioxidant for the skin but reduces chances of further damage.

Bare in mind that there isn't one miracle cure just because something works for your best friend might not work for you.

If you're looking for something a bit more natural, try some Aloe Vera. Often used in Anti Wrinkle Creams it claims to have over 300 different medical benefits. A trick is to put a bit of it underneath your eyes before you go to sleep to help reduce dark circles and puffy eyes.
