Natural Skin Care
We all want to be happy, healthy and looking great. That also applies to our skin. We all have hundreds of products- creams, toners, cleaners, night moisturizers, day moisturizer, and various types of make-up at our fingertips. But before we start handing over our hard earned dollars there are a few things we can do in our day-to- day lives to help our skin along using Natural Skin Care.
Essential Natural Skin Care
- Wear Sunscreen
Your skin needs protection everyday, rain or shine. Even if you can't see the sun it doesn't mean its rays aren't chipping away at your skin. Make sure it is a least a SPF15+, but if your outdoors a lot or in a hot climate go with the SPF30+. This is the most important thing you can do for your Natural Skin Care.
- Stop Smoking Now
You already know the many health reasons you should stop smoking, but now add cosmetic to the list. All you have to do is look at the skin of a smoker and you can see why you should quit. Not convinced? Try comparing the skin of two people of the same age, one a smoker, one not and you'll see for yourself the reasons to stop.
- Look After Your Skin
Hygiene is so important for your skin. Washing daily and moisturizing afterwards (yes, and I do mean your entire body) is so important to keep that moisture in your skin. Once you'll start you'll have difficulty stopping, you will definitely feel the difference. Make sure you get a different moisturizer for you face, and some face cleansers too. Be careful of fragrant moisturizer and soap if you suffer from allergies or have sensitive skin.
- Drink Water
Your skin needs water for hydration, and also needs it to get rid of some of those nasty toxins that can lead to the skin aging. Water will also help keep the skin looking firm and plump. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day not only as part of your Natural Skin Care routine, but to improve your health and help you lose weight.
- Eat Well
If your body isn't healthy, you can't expect your skin to be either. Eat 5 servings of fruit or vegetables everyday, and try to avoid the greases and sweets that can clog up the skin causing annoying pimples.
- Cut Out the Coffee and Alcohol
Now before you panic, we know realistically your probably not too keen on this one, and no ones expecting you to pack everything up, join a convent and start leaving a holistic lifestyle. But for the sake of your health and just not your skin try to limit your coffee and alcohol intake. We all know nothing dehydrates us like coffee and alcohol so instead of going for a second glass, have some water instead and help your skin rather than harm it. Natural Skin Care isn't always easy.
